Unakite was first found in and named for the Unaka mountain range in North Carolina, but it can also be found as far away as Brazil, South Africa, China, and Australia. A form of granite that has undergone further metamorphism, the green comes from epidote, while the pink and orange inclusions are orthoclase feldspar.
