Hackmanite is a rare and UV reactive variety in the Sodalite family. This is one of the very few minerals that is tenebrescence (changes color when exposed to sunlight), as well as UV reflective. In its natural state, it is white or greyish in color, but when exposed to sunlight purple color begins to show, and when exposed to UV light it fluoresces an orange-pink color.
